Hi there,

I wanted to share the best german history documentary from the 8th to the 20th century I know at the moment. It´s called Die Deutschen (The Germans),
and was produced by the ZDF (Second German Television). They show the german history in every episode with one main person, and there are 20 episodes in 2 seasons. They do not focus on the second world war, but on the over thousand years old history before. Sadly you will find this movies only in German here:

www.zdf.de/Die-Deutschen/Die-D…

And on Youtube:

This sounds really interesting, and I will try to check it out when I have time, but I am pretty sure my level of German (especially as concerns political terminology) isn't up to the task of following along without subtitles....
